Since taking over the walks from Nick White in January we have been pleased to meet over twenty of you on the Society’s Sunday walks and enjoy good walking, pleasant company and fortuitously good weather. The March walk from Hadlow along the River Medway, lead by Velma Keys, was particularly well attended with fifteen walkers and a delightful spaniel called Meg. We are also grateful to Peter Ashwell and Howard Beckford for their part in leading walks.

We will be delighted to see you and your friends (and other well behaved dogs and children) on these walks, which are held on the last Sunday of each month. We will also be delighted to receive feedback about the walks particularly if you have suggestions to increase the numbers of us out walking on these occasions or if you would like to lead a walk. We will continue to send an email reminder to those people on our list. If you are not receiving this and would like to do so please send us your email contact details. If you no longer wish to receive this email reminder please let us know and we will remove you from our list.

At the time of going to press, the additional morning walks scheduled from April onwards had not yet started so it is too early to say what the take up will be. However, we will continue these until September. In October 2018 we will return to holding afternoon walks only until March 2019. If the morning walks prove sufficiently popular we will reintroduce them from April 2019.
