Immigration is currently an enormously important topic. Who do we let in and how do we decide? We are privileged to welcome a Judge who makes those decisions. He will tell us how he assesses the evidence and give examples of cases he has dealt with – some of them unusual to say the least!

Roman settlers first occupied the land around the Thames, that is now London, in about 43AD. Objects have been abandoned or thrown into the river ever since! That has led to a fascinating hobby, called mudlarking, of exploring, excavating, and trying to date objects found in or on the river banks.
