The background to my novel “Leaving Fatherland” by Matt Graydon

The story in the novel, set during and after WW2, was in fact based on the author’s German uncle’s own experiences. It explores the emotional conflicts arising from an anglo-german marriage. Matt will talk about his inspiration for the novel and the research undertaken before writing it.
