Description:

Early 19th century terrace in yellow brick on four storeys. Flat projecting eaves and gutter, hipped Welsh slate roof. Façade at three widely spaced sash windows, centre slightly recessed and slightly raised brick string course under second floor window cills. New shop front to no. 73 slightly bowed in white painted timber with one:three:one glazing, divided by simple semi-classic pilasters and single glazed door to RHS. No. 75 with large modern shop front with display window divided in three vertically and glazed entrance door on LHS to match. No. 77 with half-glazed and panelled door with flat stucco arch over and sash widow to LHS. First floor with three splayed projecting bay windows with flat, leaded roofs and plastered soffits. Centre bay resting on projecting entablature above centre shop window on ground floor. Stucco fronts to bay windows containing non-opening windows with glazing bars and side casements. Three sash windows with glazing bars on second floor with flat stucco arches over. Three similar sash windows on third floor immediately under eaves and without stucco arches.

Comment:

Important part of group nos. 73 to 93 odd, justifying listing although recent alterations on ground floor slightly detract. Noted roof sagging in centre.
