Description:

Row of late 18th century cottages, except for no. 83 on three storeys, no. 83 on two, with ridge tile roof with four ridge stacks and eaves and gutter. No. 83, to extreme left and slightly recessed, of two storeys with random stone plinth, ground floor red brick, and second floor rendered. Tile roof hipped to left. Sash windows on ground and sliding casement on first floor both with glazing bars. Nos. 85 to 93 with red brick elevation, nos. 85 to 89 covered with cement slurry and painted. Five square projecting bay windows, unevenly spaced, and carried on ground and first floors. Three bays to left with rendered fronts and square paned casement windows on both floors. Two bays to right with brick fronts on ground floor and rendered fronts above. Square paned casements on both floors. Flat leaded roofs to all five bays. Two pairs of coupled cottage doors under flat segmental brick arches, nos. 85, 87 and 89, door next to no. 85 fixed. Nos. 91 and 93 with single doors beside projecting bays. Second floor with five sliding casement windows, square panes, and widely and unevenly spaced directly under eaves.

Important part of group nos. 73 to 93 odd, justifying listing, and significant domestic scale of whole group.
