SDC Reference: 14/02809, application refused by SDC and went to appeal
Society Response: We were strongly represented at the informal appeal hearing and were pleased to have influenced the inspector’s decision to dismiss the appeal
Comments: The Society’s President suggested in his letter to the Inspector that if the appeal were dismissed, he had little doubt that another developer would be only too happy to apply for a scheme involving the retention and refurbishment of this valuable centrally located building. Happily that has turned out to be the case.
Status: The building has been refurbished and restored and has reopened as the Lime Tree Work Shops, a thriving local business hub.
